Back in 1988 I started writing a column called “Globetrotter” which was unusual in that it was basically a personal column about the things I did and the places I went. It was designed to take the readers into the inner sanctum of Formula 1 racing – inside the gates – and let them know what it was like to be there in Sao Paulo, or wherever we were.
