Off to Williams

February 26, 2009 by Joe Saward

Today it is off to Williams, to hear about the team’s plans for the year ahead. Yesterday’s news was dominated by the announcement that the Royal Bank of Scotland is pulling out at the end of 2010. Like most news in F1, this can be viewed in two different ways: it can be seen as a setback or as an opportunity. The pressure is on several F1 teams at the moment as sponsorship runs out but Williams has the chance to market itself to the world’s biggest corporations.

There is only one thing that really matters: performance. If the team starts winning races again, then money will follow, even in an economic crisis.

It was ever thus.
