Heikki Kovalainen first shot to international prominence in motor racing when he defeated Michael Schumacher and Sébastien Loeb on his way to becoming the Champion of Champions in the Race of Champions event in Paris, back in 2004. It has now been announced that Kovalainen will be back in action in the 2010 Race of Champions in Düsseldorf on November 27-28. The opposition will include both Schumacher and Loeb plus Sebastian Vettel, Alain Prost, Andy Priaulx, Tom Kristensen and NASCAR star Carl Edwards.
More star drivers will be announced in the run-up to the event.

Great! I hope Heikki wins it again – it would be about time!
One driver I would like to see in that event is Kimi Räikkönen. He’s raced many kinds of machines throughout his life and he doesn’t seem to be afraid of new challenges. Why not Race of Champions, Kimi? Maybe Heikki could talk to Kimi about this…
Good for him. Maybe he and Bruno need to partner for iroc? Or, you know, with lotus!
As this is the Race of Champions, any reason why he is included instead of say Jenson Button? Shouldn’t this be all motorsport champions of 2009/2010 from F1, WRC, WTCC, ALMS, etc?
