I spent yesterday flying home from Abu Dhabi and today I declared an official “Day Off”. There have been a few things happening, but I will catch up with it all tomorrow…
Home sweet home
Enjoy your day off Joe.
Day off? You deserve longer than that Joe!
Joe – When things settle down and you get some rest I’d love to hear more about the Senna film that you previewed in Brazil. Looks like it’s going to be a while before the fans in the US get to see it, but I’d still like to hear your review.
Phew ! I was worried you were off for good and we were gonna have to make do without you all winter !
If that’s any help with the blogging, your blog has convinced me to subscribe to your magazine next season ! So there
OK, you must rest at home, but I’ve hoped any comment about HRT Toyota over the day…
Make it two, you derserve it and we will survive – just
Well deserved Joe.
Did you get my email sent a few days ago?
Andy,
Yes, I did. It was appreciated. I have it down to reply but I have been flat out. Even though I say I was having a day off I was working yesterday on other stuff.
Well deserved rest. Your is the best F1 blog. Thanks for a great season. I spend more time here than watching the race on TV (Hear that Dietrich?)
Joe,
Congratulations on another year providing fans with great insights and writings about our favorite sport. I think I speak for a lot of people in saying that we enjoy your work very much, and it is an excellent cap on every grand prix weekend and all points in between. Look forward to the offseason rumblings and the start of 2011. Enjoy your time off.
Michael
Enjoy it Joe. Thanks very much for all your hard work this year. We appreciate it
Internet never sleep.
Dirk
This one do!
Enjoy Joe! You deserve it!
Is it really a day off if you work to tell us that it’s a day off?
Keep up the great work, tomorrow and cheers!
See you in Montreal next year…. (nudge, nudge)
Well, Joe, there are rumours abound that the HRT-Toyota deal is only 50-50 off-on. Would be great for your insight into this tomorrow. Will the TF110 ever see a race track in aggression?? Enjoy the rest of the evening. PNJ
A well deserved rest is no doubt required – many, many thanks for another fantastic year of coverage.
Joe , as you deserted us to day , no idea where to turn ! But my copy of your Crippen book arrived so will make a start on that instead .
Read GP Sabs last year while in Paris and had a look round at some of the places you mention to include where R B jumped from the car .
you deserve a day off for sure. For sure, I am already missing F1
Hi Joe,
Im sure there will be much news over the off season, but I am hoping you can keep us up to date on the goings on with Lotus saga?
Also, why wouldnt Lotus Group (road cars) look to develop a relationship with what used to be Toyota F1? I would have thought given the road cars and the relationship there, this would have been a logical starting point? Obviously there will be no new entries on the grid next year, but surely they could negotiate to buy the HRT entry or Toro Rosso?
Do you also think that Lotus Group (road cars) are now more interested in F1 with the 2013 regulations looking at 4 cylinder turbos? Lotus have always been in the 4 cylinder space and this would be a good selling point for the road cars.
Anyway, it would be great to hear your thoughts.
Cheers,
Dave
Joe …
Well Deserved…Its been a great year hope to see u in Melbourne once again..
Kick back, take it easy. You work too hard. Have you seen the number of posts you’ve done in the last few months. Jeez.
Official day off, not that you don’t deserve it Joe but it seems like the done thing in France
I think you deserve more than one. Maybe one and a half.
Have another day off on us, you’ve earned it.
We all need time to reflect, and are always better for it.
You’ve certainly showed was a hard grind covering Bernie’s Circus really is.
As Kipling would say; “Well done Gunga Din!

As a former (still not quite retired) muttering rotter and sometime (30 years) motor sport competitor including paid (not paid IV) drives, I probably have some pedigree which allows me to offer genuine respect and congratulations for the work that you do in this blog. I have not seen any justifiable comparisons. I can only hope that you get as much enjoyment from doing it, as people like myself get from the end product. Thank you. In your own way I rank you with Henry Manney III and LJK Setright – which you may regard as a severe insult!
Leon J,
I am in shock at the comparisons…
you deserve it !
Joe , I see that Henry Kendall was your Great Grandfather , must have been interesting doing the book .
Kevin H,
It was. A great book – even if I say it myself. You will not be disappointed if you like a “ripping yarn”.
I think having a day off is fair enough, considering.
Well deserved day off too. Have greatly enjoyed your coverage and insight this season. Sorry not to have been able to come to a “meet Joe” session, but very much hope I’ll be able to one day…
If I may, you deserve more than ONE day off… Enjoy them.. We can survive without news from you for a while.. (but not too long!!
)
Thank you so much for the good work, both in the Blog and the Magazine.
You made 2010 one of the best F1 season I ever followed (and there are quite some of them now)

What a tease. Guess I’ll have to wait till tomorrow. Keep up the great writing. Always enjoy your articles.
Cheers from Mexico!
Gosh.
A blogger blogging to say he’s taking a day off from blogging.
Isn’t irony wonderful.

Mon Pen,
Irony appreciated, but it is better to do that, or to leave the readers with no information…
Just part of the service
