Todt visits Kubica

February 28, 2011 by Joe Saward

FIA president Jean Todt visited Robert Kubica in hospital in Italy on Sunday, in the company of Professor Gerard Saillant, the head of the FIA Medical Commission, who is also one of the leading orthopaedic surgeons in the world. Saillant has a enormous experience in sports medicine and has been involved in motor sport for over 20 years.

Professor Saillant is also well known for his work at the Institut de Cerveau et de la Moelle Épinière (ICM), the Paris Institute for Brain and Spinal Chord Disorders, an organisation that was founded through support from the Formula 1 fraternity, including Todt and Michael Schumacher.

    Joe,
Any information on why Gerard Sailant was there? To confirm the course of treatment & level of care? I believe there was a Todt quote that he was getting very good care.
