Q2: Vettel ahead »

Russian wins roulette

October 29, 2011 by Joe Saward

Vitaly Petrov set the fastest time of the Q1 session in India, but with the major players taking it easy this was not an indication of any major breakthrough. Sebastian Vettel was second for Red Bull ahead of Jneson Button, Adrian Sutil, Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber. The unusual order continued with Jaime Alguersuari ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Sebastien Buemi and Bruno Senna. Fernando Alonso was 11th ahead of Michael Schumacher, while Felipe Massa was down in 15th.

Missing out were Kamui Kobayashi, the two Lotuses, the two HRTs and the two Virgins.
