The GP+ Review of the Year has now been published. It is a whopping 101 pages and features a full rundown of how the teams did in 2011, complete with our own ratings – which produced a few surprises. Four drivers scored the perfect 10, but you’ll never guess which ones they were…
In addition we look at the nouvelle vague of French racing drivers, crashing on to the Formula 1 beach in 2012…
Have a chat with Martin Donnelly. Remember Peter Gethin. And look way, way, way back to the days of the Guinness Brothers.
There are columns and book reviews plus spectacular photography from the year from Grand Prix Photo.

Love your work Joe!
Very good season review, those are usually boring but you guys did a good job spicing it up… Count me in for next year ! Good to see you rate Heikki with the top drivers this season, he deserved it !
That’s a secret.
I will look forward to this enormously!
Question: For the last couple of issues I did not receive the usual e-mail notification that they were ready, and only found they were by reading the blog. Are those notifications no longer sent out? I ask in part because I gave a gift subscription to someone who does not frequent blogs, and may not know that the review issue is now out.
Peter,
They should be sent out still. By they be being spammed.
Thanks for the reply. Okay, I didn’t quite understand your second point, but if the e-mails are still being sent then I presumably will start receiving them again. Anyway, Merry Christmas!
Having just read the “free sample” of GP+ reporting on the Brazilian GP, I am very happy to have signed up for 2012. I suggest any other reader of Joe’s blog who has been in two minds about subscribing should take a look at this free sample.
Looking forward to downloading it, Joe-I just bought a 2012 subscription, and I think the free 2011 archive is a great thing, as I couldn’t afford GP+ this year. I’m looking forward to catching up on GP+ from 2011 during the offseason and all of the great articles I’m sure I missed. I have the rest of the issues as a previous subscriber, and I want to thank you, David & Peter for all of your hard work-you put out a great product.
Several passing remarks in the season review that I would love to see expanded upon, not least about Patrick Head…
I was just starting to get the shakes Joe about not having as much F1 news and views to read.
Perfect timing and thanks for a great year. Best wishes to you and yours for the Christmas time and 2012
Steve
