Q2: Jenson bigs up Mc »

Pastor revs it up

September 1, 2012 by Joe Saward

Pastor Maldonado set the pace in the Q1 session in Spa, with a lap that was two tenths faster than Jenson Button, with Nico Hulkenberg third fastest in his Force India. The top 10 was completed by Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen, Daniel Ricciardo, Felipe Massa, Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez and Kamui Kobayashi.

Sebastian Vettel was 11th ahead of Michael Schumacher, Jean-Eric Vergne, Mark Webber, Bruno Senna, Paul di Resta and Romain Grosjean.

Missing out was Nico Rosberg, the two Caterhams, the two Marussias and the two HRTs.

There is an investigation into an incident between Hulkenberg and Maldonado.
