Q2: Jenson bigs up Mc

September 1, 2012 by Joe Saward

Jenson Button set the fastest time of the Q2 session at Spa, three tenths ahead of Sergio Perez, with Kimi Raikkonen third. The big news was that Sebastian Vettel was knocked out, managing only 11th.

Mark Webber was fourth ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Kamui Kobayashi, Fernando Alonso, Romain Grosjean, Paul Di resta and Pastor Maldonado.

Out along with Vettel went Nico Hulkenberg, Michael Schumacher, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne, Daniel Ricciardo and Bruno Senna.

    Joe,

On the TV it looked like Vettel had been to the Force India pits for some reason. He was shown walking out of that pit (he already had his helmet off) and back to the Red Bull pit. He didn’t look particularly happy,

Do you have any information on this? Did I perhaps imagine it?

    Thanks
