Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time of the Q2 session in India, beating Jenson Button by a couple of tenths, with Mark Webber third ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Perez, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa.

Knocked out were Romain Grosjean, Nico Hulkenberg, Bruno Senna, Michael Schumacher, Daniel Ricciardo, Paul di Resta and Kamui Kobayashi.
