No cowing Red Bull

October 27, 2012 by Joe Saward

Sebastian Vettel looked unbeatable in the third practice session in New Delhi, lapping just under two tneths faster than Jenson Button’s McLaren, with his Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber third, despite a mid-session spin. Lewis Hamilton was fourth in the second McLaren. Kimi Raikkonen was fifth for Lotus ahead of an on-it Bruno Senna and Fernando Alonso, while Nico Hulkenberg continued to show good form in eighth place, ahead of Michael Schumacher and Romain Grosjean.

Felipe Massa was 11th ahead of the second Williams of Pastor Maldonado, Sergio Perez’s Sauber, Paul di Resta’s Force India, Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes and the two Toro Rossos of Dan Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne. Kamui Kobayashi was down in 18th ahead of the inevitable Caterhams, Marussias and HRTs, in their usual formations.
