Pastor Maldonado set the fastest time of the Q1 session in India on Saturday, beating Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Kimi Raikkonen, Mark Webber, fernando Alonso, Bruno Senna and Romain Grosjean.

The middle order featured Felipe Massa, Daniel Ricciardo, Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg, Michael Schumacher and Kamui Kobayashi.

Knocked out were Jean-Eric Vergne, the two Caterhams, two Marussias and two HRTs.
