Renault Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn has now named the men who will take over from Carlos Tavares. The new Chief Competitive Officer will be Thierry Bolloré, who will head the design, engineering purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain, while Jerome Stoll will become the Chief Performance Officer, in charge of sales and marketing and international expansion. Stoll (59) has been a Renault man since he joined the company in 1980 and has concentrated on finance for much of his career. Stoll’s previous role as head of Sales and Marketing will be taken over by Michael van der Sande, who joins Renault after four years with Aston Martin. He was formerly employed by Tesla and prior to that spent a long period with Harley-Davidson Europe. Early in his career he worked for Bentley after starting out with Nissan Europe in 1991.
