Infiniti v6s hey……

I wouldn’t mind at all if one could actually see evidence of Infiniti leveraging this sponsorahip in places that are not Formula 1 merchandise areas…..

Honestly the amount of TV ads here in Australia for Infiniti is rather large but there is no mention of the title sponsorship of a thrice winning F1 world championship team! Just a look on their Australian website requires one to dig deep in to their partners page to discover any mention of Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Sebastian Vettel or indeed the local man Mark Webber.

Just bizarre as far as I am concerned.

That was written when they had the great plan for these new engines…

ie. they dreamed that VAG and the like would all rush in with new engines.

I think we can safely say that this is just not going to happen, the costs are silly high, and currently, with the levels of restriction on the tech regs, where’s the payback (they can hardly point at an F1 engine and say it’s high tech relative to their road car programs).

for VAG, running at LeMans is way more relevant, (with Audi and Porsche etc).

If you hold the purse strings, I mean control the income, I guess it is a advantage to have your constituents at the edge of viable finance . .

Many problems in the music and film business are caused by simple things such as nobody sharing statistics that you might think elementary, such as just viewer or audience numbers. Yes the gross figured reported by Variety are a good indicator, but how they are calculated . . .

I have often thought though, why teams are such sink holes, and they no longer seem to have Colombian marching powder in the chassis tubes, or the good old tax loss ploys since tax losses have to be in the same business line . . . .

Maybe any new deal ought to give the teams and all a upside like the hedge fund managers get, in return for some concessions, like actually signing a deal . .

Yup, regularly though one ought to be able to make money at F1 for real, and that teams are not reporting low or no profits just for accounting fun . . .
