It has been a pretty quiet week in F1 thus far but as the teams gather in Bahrain for the next pre-season test, there is sure to be lots of chatter. Once again I would say that it is not sensible to read too much into the times, although they will be a little more relevant than at Jerez. The key point of interest is whether or not Renault and Red Bull have solved some of their problems and can give a better account of themselves. I still do not think that the teams will be looking for outright speed as the key focus, rather concentrating on validating systems, trying new things, checking out tyres and fuel consumption and giving the drivers and engineers more chance to learn the cars. The second test will probably give us a better indication.
