There is very little happening over the Christmas break, and we can catch up with the things that do happen when the blog gets going again on January 4. In the meantime, I am having a rest and spending time with non-racing folk, who deserve more of my attention at this happy time of year. If you are bored over the break, my advice is to sign up to GP+ magazine for 2016 and you get the 2015 Review issue free of charge. You can also sign up for the archive and you will get access to more than 160 magazines.
What is GP+? Well, if you don’t know it is a perfectly normal magazine that you can read on a computer, a tablet or a smart phone rather than having to it on paper. These are very efficient as one can download them electronically and you can store hundreds of them in a single computer folder.
Each GP+ magazine is published just hours after a Grand Prix – usually it is around five hours after the chequered flag – and you get everything you want to know about that F1 weekend in a form that means that you can look it all up later on.
Subscribers are given codes that allow them to download magazines whenever they want to.
Each e-magazine comes from the heart of the F1 business. The F1 Paddock. We attend every Grand Prix and have access to all the big names. We’ve been doing F1 for a long time so we have the experience and connections to get to the bottom of every story.
If you are sceptical, click here and there is a free copy of GP+ to look at.
The reader gets not only the fastest possible access to the whole story of each Grand Prix weekend, but also expert analysis, great photography, inside stories, and all manner of features about the sport today and wonderful tales from throughout its history.
GP+ is a unique product and a real bargain at our early bird price of £29.99 for 23 editions in 2016.
We have a special provision for Christmas gifts that will give you a voucher to give to the recipient on Christmas Day and this will be followed by the access codes sent to their email address on the day.
As part of the 2016 subscription, you can get a free 2015 Season Review issue so that there is something there to read right now… This is our biggest ever magazine with 126 pages.
If you like the idea of receiving GP+ why not copy the link to the GP+ homepage and send it to someone who needs to buy you a present…And, for those who signed up for automatic renewals a year ago, please don’t sign up again. Enthusiasm for the product is wonderful, but we keep having to send money back because you have forgotten that you are a subscriber!
The price of GP+ will be going up in 2015 – the costs of F1 are increasing all the time and GP+ has not had a price rise since 2007 – so act now to get the early bird price.
And, for those who are grumpy at Christmas time, watch the following video and I defy you not to smile. It wonderful and horrible at the same time, but think just how lucky we are that this kind of fashion has disappeared… hopefully forever.
Merry Christmas, race fans. See you in the New Year.
