I’m incredibly proud and grateful of how Mercedes has supported me in my drive to improve diversity and equality in our sport. They have held themselves accountable and made important strides in creating a more diverse team and inclusive environment. Thank you to all the dedicated and talented individuals at Mercedes whose hard work makes it all possible and the Board for their continued trust in me. 1. “Valtteri Bottas was not confirmed for next year”.

    Will he be?

I think they will need a 🇬🇧 on both cars next season.

  2. Nice to know that Bottas’s contract negotiations won’t affect his title fight…🤣 Anyone taking bets on Russell being confirmed for Silverstone??

  3. The last contract he signed took forever to put together to put together. Here we are in the very beginning of July and Lewis is inked for, not one, but two years Between the new upcoming rules, other drivers avail abilities, and money, Tom the outside this appears to be a much smoother negotiation.

    1. Given that the last couple of major regulation changes have usually been intended to shake the running order of the sport up, there is no guarantee that Max is going to have a car capable of winning the WDC with in either 2022 or 2023 – particularly when we know that several other team were committing more resources to their 2022 cars at an earlier stage than Red Bull have.

  4. Hot off the press from Oz. (Do they still say that in internet world?)
F1 race for this year cancelled.
Press conference at 1500hrs Victoria time.
Fortress Oz continues with Closed Borders

    1. Friends in Oz tell me their vaccination programme is a shambles. I was surprised.

Ours here in 🇿🇦 is worse

If ever the 🇬🇧 civil service should be held up as the model every democracy should follow, the 🇬🇧 vaccination programme proved it.

Pity they cannot do it with transport.

      1. Shambles is being very polite. Oz is very last in the developed world. Very mixed messages.

      2. Our Federal government (states aren’t much better), like some others, has been a trainwreck for many years now.

The current shambles is no surprise.
