Joe, I’ve never understood the various roles of race engineers, technical directors, performance directors, sporting directors and so on. I see new people being hired into various positions within teams but no idea what they do. Is there somewhere I can find out more about this. Is this something you might explain during one of your virtual sessions?
Not that I know of and the titles mean different things in different teams.
Hi Joe, Just riffing along the same lines as the above comments from JimCross, do you know of, or could you produce, an Organisation Chart showing who reports to whom for the senior / technical roles across each team? That way we mere observers could use their job titles and see who reports to whom within each team and therefore get a better idea how the different roles and responsibilities compare between teams.
Obviously it would be restricted to GP+ subscribers, perhaps one team per race, so over the season you’d get the complete picture… updated each year so you can see what changes have happened over the previous 12 months.
Joe, will there be an audience with you in London prior to the British GP at all or is this it?
