…and when I say rain I am talking about the proper stuff. This is no drizzle. It is chucking it down and that means that the day’s activities on the race track will be pretty limited as it is not expected to be raining on Sunday. It is probably going to be a rather dull day for all the German fans, who are going to sit in the grandstands getting wet, without much to watch.

I’ve long thought that an (admittedly expensive for the teams) fix for this problem would be the following:
On Thursday evenings, Bernie secretly writes down which one of the 4 sessions (2 Friday, 2 Saturday) is actually going to count as the official qualifying session. Since teams don’t know, they must run b*lls-out for at least part of each session, thereby providing more entertainment for the viewers. The grid is then announced on Saturday evening.
