Last gasp Vettel

Sebastian Vettel pipped Mark Webber to the fastest time of the Saturday morning session in Barcelona having spent much of the session sitting in the pits, saving tyres. He did just six laps, while Webber did 17. The gap back to third-placed Michael Schumacher was 1.3 seconds with Lewis Hamilton right with him. Jenson Button was two-tenths behind, ahead of Nico Rosberg, Kamui Kobayashi, Vitaly Petrov and Fernando Alonso. Rubens Barrichello was 10th, ahead of Felipe Massa, Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado. Sebastien Buemi was next up ahead of Adrian Sutil, Jaime Alguersuari and Paul di Resta. Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli were next ahead of Timo Glock and Tonio Liuzzi, with Jerome D’Ambrosio in hot pursuit. Nick Heidfeld was 23rd having had his Renault catch fire in mid-session, while Narain Karthikeyan rounded off the 24 as usual.
