A more realistic order

Mark Webber led the way in the second practice session at Spa on Friday, beating Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari by a tenth of a second, with the McLarens of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton in hot pursuit. Felipe Massa was fifth in the second Ferrari, ahead of Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes, the Sauber of Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg in the Force India, in the car instead of Adrian Sutil, with the top 10 completed by Paul di Resta and Sebastian Vettel. Michael Schumacher was 11th quickest.

The session was disrupted by rain, which fell heavily midway through the practice. The cars did eventually go out again but lap times were around 30 seconds off the normal pace.

The order was much as might be expected with the exception of the Lotus Renault GP team which continued to have troubles with Bruno Senna 17th and Vitaly Petrov at the bottom of the timesheet.

  1. Your not a huge Lotus Renault fan are you Joe! LOL
Are you suggesting that they struggled because Heidfeld wasnt in the car to do some setup work or something?

  2. Oh no,
Poor old Renault are they having trouble with the car? that’s a shame it’s been so good up until this weekend!

  3. You could almost take a punt now that the first seven to drop out of qualifying will be the usual six of HRT, Virgin and Lotus plus one of the Renaults – the other just making it into Q2. You reap what you sow Mr Boullier…

  4. I have to eat humble pie, as much as I was aggrieved that Nick got shafted, Bruno has done a fantastic job in qualifying, good luck to him
