Q2: Vettel ahead

Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time of the Q2 session in India on Saturday with a lpa that was three-tenths faster than the best that Lewis Hamilton could manage. Fernando Alonso was third for Ferrari, chased by Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg and Adrian Sutil, with the top 10 completed by the two Toro Rossos of Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari.

Out went Vitaly Petrov, Michael Schumacher, Paul di Resta, Pastor Maldonado, Bruno Senna, Rubens Barrichello and Sergio Perez.
