On the road

August 30, 2012 by Joe Saward

Today it is off to Spa, so unless something dramatic happens, and I am in a area where my iPhone has good coverage and can file from that I would not expect much news until the afternoon. Hopefully the weather up there won’t be horrible. At Spa you never know. In the meantime it is time for the autoroutes.

    Hi Joe

Fill up with petrol before you cross the border. Fuel is very expensive in Belgium.

Talking of news, and looking at the attempts to impose penalties retrospectively on Lance Armstrong, is F1 missing out by not reopening the Schumacher traction control question?

What ever happened to Robert Kubica? It seems all news about the man ended some time ago. Is his career in F1 finished? Might make an interesting blog post at least. Love your work, Joe, from a fan here in the States.

Well Joe. I’m already in the Ardennes area. Drove yesterday (Wed) around the immediate track area, taking in tourist time in Spa, Fracorchamps, Stavelot, Malmedy, and a host of Ville on the N6xx routes. Beautiful sunny 24degC max. Today a little cooler in Spa, around 18 degC max.
Tomorrow looks like scattered showers and cooler at 15degC max. A cold front is rolling in from the West. Sat a little better (clearing) but still showery and cool 18degC max. Sun for race expected to be partly sunny and 20degC max. Can only hope the conditions keep the trend of getting better after a wettish Friday. Still… Spa is wholly unpredictable as the locals have told me. Forecasts are guidelines, hereabouts. JF.

You ought to take part in a contest for one of the greatest blogs
on the internet. I most certainly will recommend
    this blog!
