I am once again hosting a live Audience with Joe in Melbourne, so that Australian fans can learn more about the wonderful world of Formula 1 and hear stories from 40 years of motorsport, ranging from fights with Ayrton Senna, to interviews with Dale Earnhardt, to being mates with Peter Brock.
I’ve been present at every single one of the last 630-odd Grands Prix… and can still remember most of it! It’s guaranteed that you will learn things you didn’t know about the sport.
For those who don’t know the format, it is very simple: you ask questions, eat, drink and we all have a good time. If you’ve attended before, why not leave a comment so that others can hear about the fun.
Attendance is limited to make sure everyone gets the chance to ask questions, so don’t hang about if you want to be sure to get tickets.
The event will once again take place at the West Beach Bathers Pavilion at 330A Beaconsfield Parade, St Kilda, on Friday, March 31. This is easily accessible from Albert Park and right on the beach.
The event will start at 7.30pm so there will be time to get there after the last track action of the day.
Tickets cost A$70 a head – it is the same as last year – and will not be available on the door, so if you want to come, sign up in advance, to avoid disappointment.
It is a great venue with great food and drink. To sign up for tickets, just click here
Been to two of these in Melbourne, great location and Joe’s knowledge is unbelievable. You’ll find out stuff even he doesn’t write about. Highly recommended. Unfortunately not going to the GP this year.
We went in 2020 – The only thing that happened that year for us for the Australian GP as it turned out. The evening was great, entertaining, great discussions, great stories and worth every dollar. There was a good feed as part of the ticket price as well. I took my 20 somethings son and daughter and they very much enjoyed it as much as I did. It is easy enough to get to the venue and return to the central city by tram. Hopefully we will get to cross the ditch to the “West Island” next year in 2024 again for the Australian GP, and we will certainly go to Joe’s evening again then.
HI Joe – will you be doing an audience in Silverstone this year as I would like to attend? If you’re struggling for a venue you could try the Towcester Mill Brewery. They have a large function room where they hold comedy shows etc.
Ive tried the Towcester area and it didn’t work…
Who is Kim Illman?
He takes photographs.
Independently wealthy?
It is said. I’ve never checked.
Is he gursky-esque?
Went to it the last time I attended the GP in 2013 (is it really ten years ago?) and thoroughly enjoyed the Audience with Joe. Wide ranging topics were discussed. Thoroughly recommend anyone going to the GP to attend.
Wow, so Peter Brock was a mate of yours? Was he as big an idiot as I’ve heard?
Just wondering
You should know…
Well he let me co-drive for him and even let me drive on some special stages in the round Australia rally so I’d say he was crazy. The crazier thing was that I let him navigate. Wow, two losers together…..
I think crazy is a solid description… but what a talent.
Hi joe
When do the Melbourne tickets get sent out?
Thanks
